JR62595 Engineer, Metrology and Real-Time Defect Analysis (MRDA)As a PDE Metrology/RDA Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for enabling innovative solutions and techniques to facilitate global manufacturing and ensure the highest quality products to deliver Best-In-Class performance. In addition, you will also be responsible for overseeing the evaluation, installation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art MRDA tools used to support Technology Development and High-Volume Manufacturing. Your role will require you to work with global cross functional teams as well as local site manufacturing groups to meet your objectives by monitoring key metrics and meeting schedule demands.
As a MRDA Engineer, you will be expected to lead a number of critical projects with minimal supervision and leverage previous experience to strengthen the MRDA Team to drive continuous improvement and optimize production processes.
Candidates should also be willing and capable of international travel, as needed, to accomplish your objectives.
Responsibility 1: Define TOR for Metro/RDA, Capex Saving Initiative & Business Process
Ensure the timeliness of metrology/RDA tool MTEP and TOR fanout deployment across the network to support manufacturing needs
Support Metro/RDA MTEP Evaluation, Decision Analysis and TORRB review meetings
Develop and manage projects designed to reduce cost, improve throughput, reduce tool measurement variability and perform research and develop new metrology capabilities to improve detection capability
Lead Capex justification for MTEP of Metro/RDA tools for next generation technology
Partner with the metrology/RDA tool vendors to develop new hardware, software, and technologies related to recipe and hardware performance improvements
Support Metro/RDA TOR Doc2 management in ADCS System
Responsibility 2: Define Standards, Strategy, Methodology and Business Process
Supplier Engagement on Quarterly Business review and Technology Roadmap to resolve tactical issues and develop strategic partnership
Determine the Global metro/RDA sampling strategy and standard
Establish business process standards, specifications and documents.
Develop methodology for Metro/RDA Tool Matching/Equivalence within and across Manufacturing sites
Develop methodology for Metro/Inspection Data Continuity across all metro/RDA steps
Partner with Global Quality to ensure Measurement System Analysis are executed according to standards on all metro/RDA systems in the network
Establish Recipe Setup (POR) and Change Protocol for all Metro/RDA workstations types
Ensure IT resource allocation to support data automation from Metro/RDA tools to SPC or yield analysis/management software
Audit Sites periodically to ensure compliance and alignment to business standards, specifications and documents
Responsibility 3: Alignment/BKM, Define System & Process
Function as Metro/RDA CST (Copy Smart Teams) Lead to ensure BKM fanout and alignment across manufacturing sites
Establish MOR for Metro/RDA steps for Cycle time and sampling tracking
Participate 8D review on Excursions, Control Point hardening and PFMEA programs to pareto detection gaps
Formulate Metro/RDA Tool and Recipe Technology Transfer Business Process
Support Rudolph Discover Implementation for Data/Images Storage and analysis across the network
Responsibility 4: Collaboration & Project Management
Maintain a strong and open relationship with peer group and appropriate team members in other functional areas such as Process Integration Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality Systems, Production Operations Management, and Purchasing.
Promote worldwide sharing and transfer of area-specific domain knowledge.
Communicate and respond to issues in a timely manner, with a cadence appropriate to the priority of the issue.
Keep stakeholders and team members informed of project status, progress, and roadblocks/opportunities
Prioritize and manage multiple projects based on MFG site and corporate objectives.
Move projects effectively through project lifecycle – definition, planning, implementation, acceptance and review.
Motivate stakeholders to take ownership of projects.
Manage priorities and enhancements to improve business processes and existing systems that are global in nature.
Select best candidates for project teams. Define stakeholder teams.
Define metrics to gauge project success.
Maintain a portfolio of projects that maximizes ROI for the program and supports the Central Team and Corporate roadmaps
Work Qualifications: (If you posted for this position today, what would the qualifications be?)
Knowledge of Assembly manufacturing process and quality engineering experience will be added advantage
Experience in MSA (Measurement System Analysis) and Metro/RDA recipe/equipment is highly preferred
Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process control and its reaction mechanism
Proven capability to work, interface, and communicate with a wide variety of people and groups in an effective manner
Proven ability to manage multiple complex and global projects with a strong interest in working in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Strong data analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Good documentation skills with very strong attention to details
Working knowledge of analytical and statistical tools eg. Klarity, Discover, JMP will be an advantage.
Willingness to travel internationally periodically
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Statistics
