Job Description:

As a key member of the Calibration and Validation Engineering team, you will focus on transmission calibration development and the integration of the

transmission within the engine and vehicle system. Participation in planning and execution of transmission software and calibration development and validation. Key contributions may involve developing specifications, planning projects or tests, analyzing data, summarizing and reporting results, maintaining records, writing reports, collaborating with customers and OEM's, tailoring

calibrations to meet customer needs, with some travel required.

Responsibilities:

Development and validation of transmission software and calibration in support of upcoming releases/updatesTesting and data collection using commercial vehicles and hardware-in-the-loop simulatorsIntegration of the transmission within the engine/vehicle systemOptimization of electronic transmission controls to improve drivability, performance, and fuel economy for different end-user applicationsDocument and present technical and program materials internally and to customers.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelors Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.Proficiency in written and spoken business communication skillsProficiency using Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)3 years of engineering experience in a related fieldEngineering degree will be considered in lieu of workAbility to obtain Commercial Driver's LicenseAbility to read C++ code or desire to learnPrefer experience with MATLAB / SimulinkPrefer knowledge and experience in Embedded systemsdevelopment and calibrationPrefer experience in vehicle and test cell calibration andvalidation testing
