As an RDA Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working with a team of other process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.
Responsibilities:Identify yield gain opportunities and successfully implement strategies to achieve yield targets.
Plan and implement a baseline improvement program to drive yield enhancements.
Ensure process control charts are set up accurately, with strict adherence to limits and reaction mechanisms.
Collaborate with Process Integration, Production, and other process areas, determining the best approaches to meet and exceed goals.
Follow up on all defects related to SWRs, ensuring timely updates to the defect library.
Set up contamination, defect, and performance qualification procedures and frequencies.
Characterize process responses to parameters and define process margins with respect to upstream and downstream steps.
Qualify conversions and new processes, working diligently to reduce scrap and excursions.
Study new methods for defect analysis to maintain and improve world-class standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven ability to identify and implement yield gain strategies.
Outstanding planning and organizational skills to drive baseline improvement programs.
Strong understanding of defect morphology, transformation, and process control.
Flawless ability to set up and maintain process control charts and ensure accurate reactions.
Effective collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working with multi-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of contamination, defect, and performance qualification procedures.
Ability to characterize process responses and define process margins accurately.
Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
Demonstrated experience in qualifying new processes and reducing defects and excursions.
Proven expertise in implementing yield improvement strategies and process control mechanisms.
