General Summary:

17+ years of experience in embedded or server domain to design, develop and support software solutions on multi-core ARM v8/v9 CPUs, Strong C/C++ programming skillsEmbedded Platform experience including low-level firmware, Linux Kernel, Hypervisor/Virtualization and user-space componentsDesign and development of software for heterogeneous compute platforms consisting of ARM CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, and specialized hardware accelerators in an embedded SoC systemsIn depth understanding of Memory management in Linux kernel and expertise in IOMMU/SMMUIn depth understanding of ARM Trust-Zone & ARMv8/v9 architectureIn depth understanding of KVM architecture and its integration with the Linux kernelHands-on experience using JTAG based debuggers to debug real-time problemsHands-on experience using version control systems like GITSolid understanding of Linux boot flow on embedded systemsSolid understanding of computer system architecture (core, cache, memory models, bus architecture, etc.). Experience in Board Bring-up, Device drivers, peripheral buses (SPI, I2C, USB), Memory controllers for DDRSolid understanding of different debug methods offered by Linux KernelLead the design, development, and maintenance of Linux kernel componentsCollaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of kernel modulesDevelop and implement new features and enhancements in the Linux kernelProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersConduct performance analysis and tuning of kernel componentsDebug and resolve complex kernel-related issuesStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Linux kernel development and contribute to the open-source communityMotivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with engineers/partners/customers across different geographies.Hands-on technical lead who is not hesitant to dig into the details where needed to get first-hand knowledge of the issues and play an active and personal role in steering team successCollaborate with internal teams and external partners on analysis and debugging

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Bachelors/Master's Degree in Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering or related field.Extensive experience with Linux Kernel and experience working with the Linux Open Source community10+ years experience with Programming Language such as C/C++10+ years Software Engineering or related work experience5+ years experience working in a large matrixed organizationBeing a Linux Kernel subsystem Maintainer is an added plus

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
