Engineer, Process Data Management, SVS/PDM

Introduction

 

We are seeking a Process Data Management Engineer to join the Technical Information Team in Vadodara, India. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing commercial item data, ensuring accuracy, standardization, and governance across global engineering, procurement, and supply chain functions. Your work will contribute to efficient data structures, process improvements, and seamless integration between PLM, ERP, and EDM systems.

 

You will report to the Deputy Manager of Technical Information Team and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.

 

This position is based in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, and may require up to 10% travel.

You will be part of the Technical Information Team, which plays a critical role in managing commercial item data across the organization. Our team ensures data accuracy, governance, and efficiency, working closely with engineering, procurement, and supply chain functions.

What You’ll Do

 

· Manage and maintain commercial item data (e.g., standard parts, electrical components, hydraulic parts) in PLM, PDM, and ERP systems.

· Ensure data accuracy, governance, and standardization to improve engineering and procurement efficiency.

· Support engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams by streamlining item classification and product structure management.

· Participate in the development and implementation of solutions for commercial item management.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data management workflows.

· Act as a liaison with business users to address complex commercial item-related issues.

· Work closely with engineering and global quotation teams to ensure commercial item availability does not create bottlenecks for other functions.

· Provide training and support on PDM, PLM, and ERP systems to internal stakeholders.

 

Who You Are

 

· Diploma / B. Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

· 4 to 8 years of experience in data management, engineering support, procurement, or related functions.

· Strong understanding of PLM, PDM, and ERP systems (preferably Enovia, Teamcenter, SAP).

· Experience in commercial item management, product structure configuration, and master data management.

· Hands-on experience with CAD software and PDM/EDM systems (SolidWorks, Enovia, NX preferred).

· Project-oriented working methods with the ability to work independently and proactively.

· Strong communication skills in English, with experience working in a large, cross-functional, global organization.
