The Project Engineer’s overall purpose is to provide engineering and technical support for maintenance, all shop departments, inspection as well as production and our customers. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
**What you will be responsible for:**
· Operating computer-aided engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
· Gathering coordinates and applying basic engineering data using established and appropriate or defined engineering principles and procedures,
· Working on less complex and somewhat routine assignments to develop skills and demonstrate technical judgement.
· Creating engineering documents for release to maintenance and our customers, utilizing required customer and departmentally required forms.
Qualifications:
**What you will need to be successful in this role:**
· Bachelor of Science degree BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from a four-year college or university or four years related experience and or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Software / Computer related skills including working with Computer Aided Design (CAD), or other related software, experience operating Microsoft – Word, Excel, Outlook.
· Experience creating documents using Adobe Acrobat Professional.
· Two years’ experience with aircraft manufacturers manuals, & aircraft drawings, such as the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Illustrated Part Catalog (IPC).
**Year One Critical Success Factors:**
· Proficiency with manufacturers web sites EIE, MyBoeingFleet, and FlyEmbraer.
