General Summary:

Job Overview - Dept Description and Job Duties: The BDC BT radio firmware team are looking for an adaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to form an integral part of our BT radio firmware development team in Bangalore. The team will work closely with the BT stack, Radio VI, Systems, Characterization team across Geos. The Team plays a pivotal role in the developing complex radio/modem features for the company’s Connectivity products. Working within our team provides a unique opportunity to work across engineering disciplines from higher layer software to low-level hardware. Typical tasks for the successful applicant would include:

Design and developing radio/modem features/calibrations for Bluetooth productsAnalysis and support bug fixes to meet the customer and internal KPIsCommunication of status/bugs/issues to leadsSoftware and hardware debug of RF and protocol testing issuesWorking with colleagues to optimize solutionsWorking with other and leading team members to plan development, testing and maintenance work

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Batchelor’s Degree in Electronics engineering discipline from an internationally recognized institution.At least 3-6 years’ experience in developing embedded radio control low level firmware

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Electronics engineering discipline from an internationally recognized institutionExperience and familiarity with Bluetooth Radio and PHY specifications and KPI requirements

Proficient in C programming skills and extensive embedded development experienceGood working knowledge and a keen interest in Radio fundamentalsBluetooth or WiFi radio/PHY understanding is a plusA good level of Signal processing and radio communication knowledgeA good understanding and interest of electronic hardware and reading schematicsKnowledge of RF lab equipment’s including Spectrum analyzer, vector signal generator, combiners, Bluetooth testers etc.Good understanding of RF metricsPython scripting is a bonusSelf-motivated, adaptable team playerComfortable with responsibility and with taking responsibility for their deliverables
