Senior Engineers are leaders and work independently in every facet of their job. They have extensive knowledge of groundwater flow and contaminant transport fundamentals and routinely apply those fundamentals to solve complex environmental problems. Senior Engineers are innovators and apply the latest technologies and methodologies as appropriate. They develop and mentor staff. **Job Title:** Senior Engineer **Location(s):** Grand Junction, CO; Westminster, CO **Status:** Full-Time **FLSA:** Exempt **Hiring Range:** $97,755 – $123,480per year.(The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.) This position is required to travel 5% of the time. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Meets independently with LMS Managers and Site Leads, and LM Site Managers to discuss site-specific project needs. + Develops scopes of work to address issues, and create associated budgets, schedules, and staffing plans to execute work. + Knows environmental regulations and standards. + Performs and/or supervises the acquisition, organization and analysis of environmental field data, statistical and geostatistical evaluations, quantitative groundwater studies, conceptual site model development, numerical groundwater flow and reactive transport modeling and remedial design. + Serve as the senior writer, editor, and reviewer of all project documents. + Prepares and presents summary presentations. + Support and mentor staff. + Other duties as assigned. **Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience** + Master’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, and engineering. + 10 years of relevant experience **Licenses and Certifications** + Valid Divers License **Required Skills and Abilities** + Knowledge of LM sites and programmatic history. + General field characterization experience + Working knowledge of well drilling, coring/sampling, and monitoring well installation. + Data acquisition and evaluation experience. + Understanding of tracer testing implementation and interpretation. + Working knowledge of aquifer testing and analysis. + Experience with conceptual site model development. + Knowledge of numerical groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling. + Understanding of statistics and geostatistics. + Knowledge of parameter estimation and Iterative Ensemble Smoother calibration. + Knowledge of three-dimensional visualization and evaluation. + Knowledge of programing and scripting. + Knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, and geophysics. + Familiarity with remedial design and evaluation. + Knowledge of regulations and standards. + Knowledge of integrated work control process, readiness review, health and safety and field project closeout. + Knowledge of groundwater flow and contaminant transport fundamentals. **Clearance and Health Requirements** + Criminal Background Check + Pre-placement Drug Screening + Fit for Duty Test (if applicable) **Essential Physical Requirements** Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly.
