What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding in ServiceNow to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the business analyst and clients to develop enhancements, workflows, flows and scoped apps within ServiceNowExperience in designing new ServiceNow applications, integrations using various methods and data feedsCollaborates with internal and external partners to ensure solutions provide the best user experience.Works with partners to design and implement integration/data feeds/interfaces with other systems, such as APIs and AuthenticationParticipates in platform communities and stay up to date on new software technologies and best practicesExecutes software installations, creation, configuration, and loadsPromote ServiceNow and CMDB best practices and recommend out of the box solutions where appropriate.Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues Recommends process improvements and displays a continuous improvement mindsetQualifications4-8 years of experienceBA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree preferred.4+ years of hands-on experience in developing enterprise software and solutionsMinimum of 2 years' experience with Configuration Management, ITIL v3 certification a plusExperience with ServiceNow instance upgrades and patches along with strategy and execution.Experience with integration components such as SSO, LDAPExperience with web technologies such as AJAX, XML, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services (SOAP, REST)Experience with databases and data-driven web applicationsExperience in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including client requirement analysis and system design, and/or software engineering principlesUnderstanding of Incident Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management as it relates to ITILExperience with Run book automation and data integrationExperience with a scripting language, such as PowerShell, Perl or PythonExperience with GCP or AWS Cloud Infrastructure
