**About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 09 **S&P Global Market Intelligence** **The Role:** Software Developer II **The Team:** Team is responsible for the development of tools to collect data from various sources. It is the backbone of all the data being presented to clients. The team is responsible for modernizing and migrating the internal platform utilizing latest technologies. **The Impact:** As a Software Developer, you will be part of content systems development team that manages multi-terabyte data using latest web, cloud, and big data technologies. You will be part of a heavy data intensive environment. This role expects a candidate with deep UI development (React JS or Angular), Web Services, and SQL Server experience. **What’s in it for you:** It’s a fast-paced agile environment that deals with huge volumes of data, so you’ll have an opportunity to sharpen your data skills and work on emerging technology stack. **Responsibilities:** + Design and implement software components for content systems. + Perform analysis and articulate solutions. + Design underlying engineering for use in multiple product offerings supporting a large volume of end-users. + Take initiative and work independently on certain projects, while contributing to a large team on others. + Manage and improve existing solutions. + Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits. **What We’re Looking For:** **Basic Qualifications:** + B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent + 4+ years of relevant experience + Expert in server-side programming using ASP.NET Or NodeJS + Expert in coding hands on JavaScript or Angular latest, React JS is most preferable. + Experience in technologies like HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS + Experience implementing: Web Services (with WCF, RESTful JSON, SOAP, TCP), Windows Services + Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Scaled Agile, Test-driven development + Good experience with developing solutions involving relational database technologies on SQL Server. + Server platform, stored procedure programming experience using Transact SQL. + AWS working experience on Basic Services. + Passionate, smart, and articulate developer + Able to work well individually and with a team + Strong problem-solving skills + Good work ethic, self-starter, and results-oriented **Preferred/Good to have Qualifications:** + Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with Data Science / Machine Learning is a plus + Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure + Experience with large-scale messaging systems such as Kafka **What’s In It For** **You?** **Our Purpose:** Progress is not a self-starter.
