Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Engineer, Solution Train to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible to lead and facilitate a solution train which includes the programme management of large complex solutions (spanning business units, organisations, clients, and geographies) which require the coordination of multiple agile release trains in order to escalate impediments, manage risk, assure value delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

Architect and implement scalable, efficient solution delivery pipelinesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the software development lifecycleDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery processesImplement and manage cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principlesDevelop and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deploymentOptimize container orchestration and management using tools like Docker and KubernetesContinuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve solution delivery efficiencyProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team membersCollaborate with stakeholders to align solution delivery strategies with business objectivesMonitor and analyze system performance, implementing improvements as needed

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Certified Scale Agile Program Consultant (SPC) or SAF’e Agile.

Experience Required: 

5+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture5 - 7 years experience gained in the management of platforms and operating systems.10+ years experience gained in facilitating the design and implementation of technology solutions in response to complex enterprise-wide organisational problems.Experience as a scrum master using Kanban software.Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps practicesExtensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExpert knowledge of CI/CD tools and practicesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScriptExperience gained in facilitating the design and implementation of technology solutions in response to complex enterprise-wide organisational problems.Experience must also have been gained in programme management including the facilitation of multiple interconnected projects spanning across an enterprise.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practicesExpertise in containerization technologies, including Docker and KubernetesDemonstrated experience with large-scale distributed systemsStrong understanding of enterprise architecture principlesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesWillingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
