CommScope is looking to add an Engineer Tooling to join our Manufacturing Operations Team in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua.

Responsible for defining the technical and design requirements for the construction of molds for Telecom. He leads the design evaluation in new product introduction and mold replacement, as well as coordinates the design reviews proposed by mold manufacturers. Monitors progress in manufacturing and sampling new molds.
Duties & Responsibilities
Defines the technical requirements and design characteristics for plastic injection molds. Coordinate mold design for new product introduction and mold replacement. Define and fill out the RFQ formats for the quotation of molds in which are included type of metal, gate, casting system and everything pertinent to mold specifications according to the needs and requirements of each mold. Together with the Project Manager, it selects a supplier for the manufacture of molds according to the characteristics and needs of each project. Leads design reviews to proposals submitted by mold manufacturers to ensure compliance with Commscope's technical specifications. Define the methods for validating new molds. Supervise the mechanical inspection of incoming molds to Commscope's Juarez Campus. In coordination with the Tool Room Supervisor, he defines the frequency of preventive maintenance for new molds. Provides troubleshooting support with existing molds to Molding Process Engineers. This position/function must be responsible for understanding and following the requirements of the Safety, Health and Environment management system, its Policy, applicable standards and procedures.

Authority:
Stop a Process or Activity if I consider that there is a security risk to my physical integrity or that of any person within the company when carrying out any activity, also when detecting risks that affect the Quality, Functionality of the product, process and/or provision of a Service and to communicate to my immediate supervisor to request support.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Education: Career in Engineering (preferred) Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar position. Bilingual. Knowledge in metals for mold construction. Extensive experience designing plastic injection molds. Experience in mold validations. Proven expertise in plastic injection processes.
