We are seeking an **Engineer 2** to join our **Security and Electronic Systems (SES)** business Unit. As part of **(SES)** Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, its systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities Experienced Client Embedded Design Engineer to provide a customer focused approach, enjoys coordinating with a variety of teams, self-motived, process orientated, comfortable working in an agile environment, has the ability to drive issues to ground, understands construction standards, understands security products (gate systems, access control, camera systems, intrusion detection, etc.), comfortable reviewing designs drawings (PDF, CAD and/or REVIT), providing constructive feedback to team members (internal and external), comfortable with providing direction when customer standards are not adhered to, and work hand in hand with our client to provide the best posable product for them. Additional item that may be required are listed below. + Development of Engineering Installation Design Packages including the creation of Block Diagrams, Riser Diagrams, Mounting and Wiring Details in AutoCAD. + Revit is a bonus but not required + Create Project and Device schedules with the Engineering Installation Design Packages + Create Cable, Device, and Performance Verification Test Plans + May Assist in the Bids and Proposals process to capture new work + Participate in site surveys during all phases of projects. + Participate in Pre-Installation Testing and Checkout (PITCO) processes including System programming, integration testing, and equipment build outs. + Assist various calculations; including but not limited to power, heat, voltage drop, conduit sizing and bandwidth. + Assist with development of sequence of operations, compliance matrices and other project support documentation. + Developing a basic understanding of related industry documentation such as NEC, NFPA, UL Code (294, 1076, and 2050), ICD 705, NISPOM. + Participate in new product evaluations and recommendations. + Contributing to engineering by suggesting improvement and researching questions + Maintaining system documentation and maintenance records and generate weekly and/or monthly summary status reports. + Spending four (4) to six (6) hours per week staying current on industry trends and available products and services. + Performing staging and setup as needed for project support and for self-instruction. + Working closely with Systems Engineers to install and configure networks based on an Installation Design Package (IDP) that satisfy the customer's needs. + Researching equipment from a multitude of manufactures to resolve technical issues during installation and testing. + Working closely with Design Department to identify and correct design problems during the design cycle. + Suggesting process improvements and cost savings to aid Implementation Department for future installs. + Providing systems support for a large-scale, high performance computing center to include the installation and management of computer systems, workstations, operating systems, peripherals, and system interfaces; works with senior staff to monitor system usage and evaluate performance against defined performance goals; additional duties include the development and maintenance of systems documentation. + Provides designs for automation systems including a list of quantities and types of materials used. + Provide user guideline documentations and manuals for user end custom programs and applications. Qualifications **Clearance:** No Clearance Required. **Key Requirements:** + This is a fully remote position with the ability to travel up to 25%. + Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with 2+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity with the provision of SE services for physical security system and IT solutions. **Desired Skills:** + Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills. + Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams. + Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. + Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus. **What we offer:** + A collaborative team inspired by the way engineering and innovation enhance customer outcomes, improve lives, and change the world for the better.
