Engineer 3, Occupational Safety

In this critical role, you will help lead and improve the overall safety of our manufacturing processes. You will consult and advise on the full scope of technical and non-technical safety issues. This will include both local and national safety regulations. You will be responsible for coordinating the implementation and continuous improvement of all our safety program. As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. That means we’re continually seeking diligent, driven performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles.
 

In this position... 

The Engineer 3, Occupational Safety, working under general direction, working as a contributing team member, is responsible for applying technical safety standards, principles, theories, and concepts, to independently develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of difficult occupational safety problems such as hazard control and prevention, safety systems and equipment, compliance, risk, etc. with consistency in a timely manner. The role coordinates with other team members to implement plant-wide safety processes such as the Company’s Safety Operating System (SOS), emergency response planning, safety training, and the application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts. The role would also work with senior engineers and managers to contribute to the completion of milestones within specific projects as per function priorities.
