We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities. **_About The Position_** The Engineer provides technical support to substation maintenance personnel on maintenance problems. **_Key responsibilities include:_** + Respond to substation outages to assist restoration as necessary. + Coordinate testing program to assure necessary PM tasks are completed as required by internal and external requirements. + Provide support to substation maintenance personnel for commissioning and checkout of new substation equipment. + Prepare minor design changes as needed to restore equipment to service. + Prepare failure reports on substation equipment. **_Qualifications_** Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Professional Engineer License or active commitment to obtain one preferred. Two or more years of utility experience with specific knowledge of substation equipment such as transformers, switchgear and breakers preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: _Good analytical, decision-making, communication, and human relations skills. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. **Compensation Range:** $69,300.00 - $133,900.00 * This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered.
