This is an Onsite position reporting to either Tulsa, OK or Roanoke, VA location.
This is a project engineer reviewer position that is responsible to perform project gatekeeping tasks, assisting in the annual development of the Transmission budget, Regulatory filing support, monthly reporting, and TransCo eligibility reviews. Gatekeeping tasks include project completeness reviews prior to opening work orders and prior to routing for funding authorization. Additional responsibilities include the annual review of policies and guidelines, identifying and supporting the implementation of process improvements, and ad hoc requests for leadership.
**Job Description**
**Principal Accountabilities:**
+ Assist in the annual development of Transmission Capital Forecast and Plant in Service for the Long Range Planning (LRP) to meet corporate financial and operational goals.
+ Perform Gatekeeping function for Project Lifecycle Management Process (PLMP). Review and approve the schedules, scopes and estimate for projects.
+ Provide guidance on project financial structure between operating companies and TransCo holding companies within IRR and proper application of the TransCo Project Selection Guideline.
+ Initiate and formulate capital forecasts, in conjunction with operating company, transmission planning and project management personnel, using corporate financial models including the identification of significant strategic issues and alternative and/or contingency plans.
+ Perform monthly/quarterly variance reporting and analysis of capital budget and PIS.
+ Provide filing, RFI, and discovery support for all annual filings.
+ Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with the policies, practices, standards, and rules of the Company and regulations and procedures as required by federal, state or local regulatory agencies.
+ Assist in developing special strategic evaluations of corporate business opportunities and assist in making recommendations based upon the results of the evaluations.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and revenue enhancement.
+ Create ad hoc budget and work plan reports and perform emerging duties as assigned.
**_REQUIREMENTS – OTHER:_**
These are additional expectations for the job and could include specific work experience, license / certifications, pre-employment testing, expectations are about 10% travels, shift work, etc.

Experience in UI Planner, EcoSys, and Power Plan are preferred but not required.

**Engineer Assc - Grade 5:**

This is an entry level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*
+ Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.
Acceptable alternative is:
+ A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program
Engineering Technologist Degree will also be considered.
**Engineer (SG6):** **($72,380 - $90,475)**
+ Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*.
+ Individuals with a Master's degree in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET* may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
+ *ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Acceptable alternative is:
+ a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
**Engineering Technologist (SG6):** **($72,380 - $90,475)**
+ Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related experience in work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering technology principles; Bachelor's degree in engineering technology* in a program accredited by ABET**.
+ *A degree in engineering technology is the preferred degree: however, engineering degrees will also be considered.
+ **ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable alternative is (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering technology from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
**Engineer (SG7):** **($85,081 - $106,354)**
+ Has typically acquired 4 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*; or 2 years of related engineering experience along with a Master’s degree in engineering from a program accredited by ABET* .
+ Individuals with a PhD in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET* may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
+ Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico** is encouraged and preferred.*ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Acceptable alternative is:
+ (1) a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master’s degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor’s program.** Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
**Engineering Technologist (SG7):** **($85,081 - $106,354)**
+ Has typically acquired 4 or more years of related experience in work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering technology principles; Bachelor's degree in engineering technology* in a program accredited by ABET**.
+ *A degree in engineering technology is the preferred degree: however, engineering degrees will also be considered.
+ **ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable alternative is (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering technology from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program
*VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with an Non ABET accredited program
