As an Automation Engineer (Sales Support), you will be the technical lead for automation and control solutions. You will be responsible for supporting company’s Industrial Automation and Control products. You will help integrate and deploy automation systems solutions with company’s automation product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automation technologies and utilize this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutions Interpret customer specifications, make product recommendations, and assist in the selection of automation products Provide technical application support for the internal sales force and end-users Develop, deploy, and debug Servos, PLC, and HMI programs for automated equipment Assist in project validation and equipment installations & commissioning of hardware Develop and run technical training courses related to automation & control Research, create, and test configurations to assist customers in the application of automation & control products Prepare customer BOM for quotation purposes Deliver solutions with first-time quality while maintaining high levels of internal and external client satisfaction Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clientsQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree – Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or similar discipline required 2+ years of proven experience in similar position and exposure Experience working with VFDs, servo drives and developing motion, logic, and HMI software Working knowledge & understanding of PLCs, motor & motion control, and fieldbus systems Demonstrate skill in programming and commissioning of automation equipment Experience with Automation fieldbuses, Ethernet-IP, Sercos3, Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, etc. Experience with Client-server system CAD experience and ability to interpret electrical drawings and all its range of components Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents Experience with cloud-based infrastructures (Azure, AWS, IBM) and in data pipelines, and/or data management in IIoT Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams Knowledge of the following skills is an asset: Linux operating systems, HTML, Java, C/C++/C#, OPC-UA, Python Ability to travel up to 25%
