As a DSP SW Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, porting and optimizing DSP software using audio algorithms on multiple amplifier hardware platforms and operating systems. This role will leverage your knowledge of programming languages and databases. You will be the go-to person for technical know-how within the team. Your work will have an impact on the application of amplifiers in the car audio ecosystem.
What You Will Do
You will be part of an Agile-Scrum software development team for Platform-Amplifier DSP & You will be involved in sprint backlog development aligned with the amplifier roadmapYour day-to-day activities will primarily involve analysing data, modifying code, and performing other programming tasks related to release plans for amplifier developmentYou will integrate code into larger software projects and collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless functionalityWork both independently and within global teams with minimal direct supervision & Be an active team member to discuss and debate different solutions to problems with the teamDemonstrate critical thinking to take appropriate risks and make sound, timely decisions & Interface with cross-locational SW/HW engineers-primarily across India, Poland, Germany, China, and the US to ensure proper implementation of amplifier development tasksWhat You Need to Be Successful
6-8 Years proficiency in embedded software programming languages like C++ and PythonSolid understanding of embedded RTOS and digital communication protocols (I2C, A2B, SPI, UART)Good understanding of hardware design and ability to read schematics & Experience using oscilloscopes and logic analysers for troubleshootingExperience with the Google UT framework & Familiarity with Agile-Scrum methodologyKnowledge of DSP controllers from the ADI Griffin familyBonus Points if You Have
Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical/electronic engineering or a related fieldKnow-how of development tools such as CCES, Code Sonar and DevOps tools for CI/CDGood to have knowledge of project management tools such as Jira and ConfluenceBackground in Agile or V-Model-based project life cyclesExperience with automotive networks using CAN is a plus & Strong awareness of quality aspects in software developmentWhat Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 2%, domestically or internationallyBe willing to work in an office; However, this role is eligible for HARMAN's remote-flex mode, with occasional trips to the Bangalore office required (which could be on 24-hour notice)What We Offer
