As a facilities engineer you will manage facilities projects in domestic and international locations including new construction, expansions, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades to support office, manufacturing, and lab operations.  You will handle projects from start to finish including scope development, budgeting, design, bidding, construction management, and closeout.  The facilities engineer will also support the ongoing maintenance and repair work for the Sidney facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility while ensuring compliance with all governmental and building code requirements.  This position will also support the planning and implementation of sustainability projects to achieve Copeland’s sustainable goals. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Develop project drawings and specifications for bidding and construction of capital projects for facility renovations and improvementsPlan and manage construction work ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and construction quality standardsDevelop and supervise project budgets and schedulesLead outside contractors providing facility maintenance services for the Sidney area facilitiesProvide engineering technical support for Labs and Operations teams on facilities and infrastructure issuesSupport planning and implementation of sustainability projects to align with Copeland goals for energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact at our facilitiesEnsure compliance with all governmental and building code requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management plus seven (7) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and significant work experienceProven track record in developing, planning, and managing facilities projects Demonstrated experience in managing outside service contractors for facilities maintenance and repairsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills, and excellent problem-solving skills A minimum of five (5) years of specific facilities engineering experience is requiredLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:  

Ten (10) years of related experience, minimum of seven (7) in facilities engineeringExperience in working with building infrastructure equipment including HVAC systems, boiler systems, chiller systems, process piping systems, and electrical distribution systems (480V and lower)Experience working with building automation systemsProficient in AutoCAD and/or RevitProficient in MS Project and MS Office programs

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit.
