Works under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, Shift Supervisor or lead engineer. Makes needed repairs to maintain the property operation and responds to all guest complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid guest inconvenience or discomfort. Becomes thoroughly familiar with all phases of operation and maintenance necessary to operate and repair all water heaters, pumps and plumbing. Performs all repairs, maintenance, and replacement of parts for preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, and accurately record all pertinent data. Continually assess the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, avoidance of repairs and down time, ease of operation, and efficiency are all being maximized pursuant to manufacturers recommendations. Becomes familiar with all Local, State, and NEC and standard as they apply. Installs new equipment and systems as directed. Performs weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance on equipment. Assumes responsibility for training lesser-trained personnel in the building’s electrical equipment and systems. Maintains tools and maintenance equipment. Ensures that all established rules, regulations, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. Performs all other duties that may be assigned by the Facilities Manager or other authorized supervisors. Develops a positive working relationships with internal guests through open communication and timely and accurate job completion. Minimal absenteeism/ tardiness.

Journeyman Engineer proficient in all engineering disciplines as listed:
Plumbing - Soft soldering, Sil Phos brazing, pipe threading machine, estimating, layout and fabrication of plumbing systems, cast iron pipe, steam and condensate systems. Welding - Steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Electrical - low and high voltage, conduit, troubleshooting. Refrigeration - low, medium and high temp, central and remote systems. Central Plant - chillers, pumps, air compressor sand controls. Boiler Plant - steam production, hot water production, pumps and controls. Maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment. Working knowledge of Stero, Garland, Cleveland, Gore, Hobart, Cutler and Blodgett Kitchen Equipment.Education:
Completion and proof of technical training (QE-Qualified Employee), basic plumbing knowledge, boiler operator license, Level 3 or 4, or equivalent experience, basic electricity.Experience:
Field experience – 2 years, Commercial experience – 1 ½ years. Work experience on low voltage systems. Field experience in repair of kitchen equipment.Abilities:
Basic computer literacy with ability to input and gather data. Ability to work in all climates and conditions including confined and dusty areas. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications. Able to lift 75 lbs. Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. Communicates effectively with two-way radio.
