Within the Equipment & Materials Certification (EMC) department, reporting to the operational management of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore, your mission will be to conduct design reviews aimed at evaluating the compliance of naval equipment installed on ships and offshore units. Your scope will cover life-saving appliances on ships.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Technical Evaluation: Analyze designs, validate tests, and ensure compliance of equipment with maritime regulations. Client Support: Assist our partners in their product approval processes. International Support: Provide assistance to our network (inspectors, local offices, newbuild projects, ships in service). Field Operations: Participate in tests or meetings at client sites, in collaboration with our inspectors. Regulatory Monitoring: Contribute to the development of international standards by participating in working groups. Contributing to business development by implementing commercial initiatives.

With a higher education degree (engineering school or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or industrial conception, you have a strong interest in technical subjects and the naval industry.
An initial professional experience, ideally in the maritime or offshore industry, has allowed you to develop solid technical knowledge in one or more of these fields.
You are proficient in computer tools and have strong writing and interpersonal skills. Attentive to the needs of your internal and external clients, you enjoy working in a team and adapting to new situations.
You are rigorous and pragmatic, and you enjoy teamwork. Your English skills allow you to communicate easily both verbally and in writing.
You are also interested in short-term international travel.
