No matter your role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference.   PURPOSE: The Andersen Menomonie Engineering team is seeking an individual with strong organizational skills to support current production lines. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. Secondary focus will be on developing, implementing new processes, and supporting product line extensions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze data; develop proposals focused on improvements and present to management. Improvement areas include safety, quality, delivery, cost, overall customer satisfaction, and reducing process variation. Lead and/or support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new fabrication equipment and processes. Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability of new product or extensions. Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events. Ensure built in quality by using DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans. Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines. Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability. Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes. Exhibit persuasiveness to sell continuous improvement ideas to value stream management and delivery partners. Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing or equivalent engineering experience. Working knowledge of Automation and/or electrical experience. Understands and applies methodologies associated with project planning and experience working with collaborative cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills. Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools. Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling is a plus (AutoCad/Inventor) 5+ years of experience preferred with mechanical aptitude Some travel may be required, primary location Menomonie, WI

  In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
