ResponsibilitiesWe seek a highly motivated and skilled entry-level Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Water District team. As an integral member of our esteemed engineering department, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to various impactful projects that are pivotal in shaping the physical environment. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a passion for civil engineering and a desire to grow within a supportive and challenging environment.
Perform entry-level professional work, including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under direct supervision. Collaborate with project engineers to contribute to the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects.Assist in analyzing reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, performing site visits, and reviewing survey data to plan and assemble construction documents.Utilize engineering software and tools to perform analysis, modeling, and simulations to support design decisions.Conduct site visits, surveys, and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.0–1 years of experience in the field or related area, including internships or coursework projects.Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within six months of start date.Strong academic background in civil engineering fundamentals, including structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in using engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or similar applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Valid driver’s license
