Engineer I - Electrical

ENGINEER III - ELECTRICAL

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ENGINEER III - ELECTRICAL:

Applies knowledge; has basic engineering knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a function in related engineering discipline. Accountable for technical contribution to a project team or sub-team. Works with others to achieve team goals within scope of basic knowledge and skills within own discipline). Has no formal role in managing projects.Basic knowledge of PLC and HMI systems. Basic knowledge of Networking and Level II control systems.Basic knowledge of MCC, low voltage distribution, drive systems, and basic industrial.Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering standards (i.e. IEEE, NEC, etc.) Basic knowledge of CAD, Word, Excel.Basic understanding of steel and concrete analysis and design of industrial buildings, building foundations, large industrial equipment foundations and crane runways. Basic knowledge of storm water, sanitary systems, property maps and surveying preferred. Working knowledge of the latest governing codes, such as ANSI, ASME, AIST, NFPA, JIC, OSHA Basic knowledge of water recirculation cooling systems, compressed air and pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, hydraulic systems (pumps, valves and control), and natural gas combustion systems.Experiences in dealing with fabrication shops and equipment vendors.Experiences with field installation support.Experiences with equipment and process related ergonomic and safety considerations.Experiences in working closely with and in support of plant production and maintenance personnel.Working knowledge of 2D & 3D, CAD, Word, Excel.Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems; applies limited judgement and discretion. Responds to standard requests from internal and/or external customers. Basic design skills. Using 3D modeling & calculations or CAD Basic problem-solving skills. Ability to apply engineering discipline training in the support of equipment design and fabrication. Basic skills in the use of CAD systems (3D capabilities preferred), MS Office software packages and engineering design software packages. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER III:

Four-year college degree required0-2 years of relevant experience required.Applies knowledge; has basic engineering knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a function in related engineering discipline.Accountable for technical contribution to a project team or sub-team. Works with others to achieve team goals within scope of basic knowledge and skills within own discipline). Has no formal role in managing projects.May be aware of costs related to own work. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems; applies limited judgement and discretion.Responds to standard requests from internal and/or external customers. Works within guidelines and direction provided by others to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a production-oriented environment. Ability to work with limited exercise of judgment under direct supervision of higher-level engineer, supervisor or manager. Accountable for technical contribution to a project team or sub-team. Works with others to achieve team goals within scope of basic knowledge and skills within own discipline). Has no formal role in managing projects.Basic design skills. Using 3D modeling & calculations or CAD Basic problem-solving skills. Ability to apply engineering discipline training in the support of equipment design and fabrication. Basic skills in the use of CAD systems (3D capabilities preferred), MS Office software packages and engineering design software packages. Engineering documentation requirements Able to manage small projects.Good organizational skills.
