Job Description:

The candidate will be a member of the Irvine RF Validation team, working closely with wireless IP design team to perform the RF validation tasks.

As a member of the team, the candidate will be responsible for validation and characterization of WLAN, BT, ZB, and Sub-GHz RF and physical layer products.

The responsibility includes automating the tests with test scripting, executing the tests, data analysis, investigating and debugging issues, resolving issues related to test hardware, software and infrastructure.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 2+ years of relative industry experienceSelf-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn about new wireless technologyGood communication skills to work and thrive in a cross-functional collaborative environment.Proficiency with programming languages (preferably Matlab, Python)2+ years’ experience with test scripting to control RFIC and communicate with test equipment for testing environment automation, executing the tests, data analyzing, investigating and debugging issues, and resolving issuesWorking experience of RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer, vector signal generator, etc.Knowledge of wireless communication system transmit and receive parameters, such as Noise Figure, SNR, Sensitivity, Blocking, Linearity, EVM, Harmonics, S-Parameter etc.Understand basic WLAN & BT protocols and hardwareSome experience of RFIC evaluation board design and debugging

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $66,560 -$128,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
