Location/Division Specific InformationBedford, MA (May also support Chelmsford, MA), and will report to the Purification and Pharma Analytics (PPA) Business Unit.
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, Standard Day Shift, 8 hours between 6 AM – 6 PM. Remote support on weekends/nights occasionally. Schedule flexibility required.
Discover Impactful Work:As an Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing processes are efficient and robust. Your expertise will drive continuous improvements and world-class quality in our manufacturing engineering operations.
A Day in the Life:Review batch record documentation and make critical decisions on process deviations and quality observations.
Consult with project teams as a subject matter expert on engineering impacts and risks.
Analyze statistical process control data to recommend, facilitate, and successfully implement continuous process improvements.
Support corrective and preventative actions to improve process safety and quality of life for manufacturing teams.
Innovate and optimize manufacturing processes to generate cost savings and efficiency benefits.
Assist Network Engineering with process validation and characterization.
Mentor and develop other team members, Shift Leaders, and Manufacturing Sciences Engineers.
Investigate significant quality deviations and manage non-conforming materials within Trackwise.
Complete special projects as assigned by Operations management and Site leadership.
Keys to Success:
EducationBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or similar engineering field) is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
ExperienceAt least 2 years of manufacturing engineering/support experience with a BS degree, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
Knowledge of cGMP and safety (OSHA) regulations desirable.
Familiarity working in a Class I Div I Hazardous Location Manufacturing Environment preferred.
Experience with batch chemical manufacturing processes highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesHighly organized, proactive, and self-motivated with excellent multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory control systems.
Experience with Trackwise or similar problem-reporting and investigation programs.
Familiarity with Oracle/OCPLM or similar document engineering change control programs.
Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to work semi-autonomously and provide indirect leadership to other technical resources while achieving organizational goals.
