You will be responsible for controlling and improving manufacturing processes, including one or more of the following: composite layup and curing, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, coating, and structural bonding. You will conduct process improvement projects and will support production, rework, and repair processes for a variety of military products. You will work closely with production personnel, operations and program management, and quality engineering.What You Will DoDevelop improvements for manufacturing processes.Resolve problems preventing products from meeting customer requirements.Document production processes.Transition development programs to full production.Coordinate efforts with operations management, quality engineering, and assemblers.What You Will LearnImprove manufacturing processes to improve yields, reduce costs, and deliver high-tech products to the warfighter.Evaluate product failures, determine rework procedures, and develop improvements to prevent recurrence.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with large teams in a fast-paced environment.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We PreferB.S. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, electrical engineering, or composites engineering.Ability to work independently or with a team, as circumstances require.Social skills to work with people with a wide variety of education, background, opinions, etc.Ability to communicate and collaborate with factory personnel, managers, engineering, and customers.Experience with Common Manufacturing Enterprise System (CMES) factory operating system.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
