We are looking for Software Engineer with proven experience join our Software Engineering organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for solutioning, designing, developing and maintaining DevOps solutions and also contribute to the development for our world class LIMS products. Division
The position is within the Specialty LIMS team part of the LIMS portfolio in Digital Platform Enablement (DPE) business unit based in Bangalore.
Purpose
You will be contributing to the Watson LIMS and Specialty LIMS DevOps roadmap. Will also handle the server infrastructure and the CI/CD expectations for multiple product lines. Will be able to get the hands on the C# and VB6 code for delivering the Watson LIMS features. Also coordinate with the different scrum teams in release train and release management to ensure successful delivery of features to production.
Nature of Work
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for the .Net desktop application architecture, TestComplete based test executions over AzureDevOps(ADO).Contribute to the product development by writing C#/VB6 code. Manage pipelines using Jenkins. Oracle database server and client installation and configuration. Manage Github policies, health and access including Github Actions. Monitor the 3rd party licenses lifecycle.Create and own product installers with InstallShield.Handle the server virtualization thru Hyper-V. Support the development and the test teams in setting up the necessary virtual machine infrastructure. Have efficient strategy in place to cater the team’s roadmap.Work with a geographically distributed team.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of proven experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience in application development in Microsoft tech stack with Github and Azure DevOps.Minimum 1 year of experience in Hyper-V.Exposure to CI/CD.Exposure to Oracle database installation and setup.Able to communicate fluently.Self motivation with high inclination towards learning.Nice to Have Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
