Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering preferred.

What will you do?

 Be part of our team responsible for designing, writing, and delivering software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Thermo Fisher Scientific's services.

 Work with a team of software and systems engineers on projects for users responsible for uptime.

 Support end-to-end availability and performance of key services.

 Build automation to prevent problems recurrence.

 Automate a response to all non-exceptional service conditions.

 Be part of on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience writing code and strong knowledge of networking tools, operating systems, and storage, with a focus on Linux.

Familiarity with Unix systems.

Basic understanding of AWS or Virtualization technologies.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Shell.

Familiarity with Kubernetes/EKS/terraform/AWS/Azure/Akamai is a plus.

Basic understanding of participating in MIMs (Major Incident Management).

Familiarity with logging monitoring solutions such as grafana prometheus loki tempo .

Provide engineering support related to OS troubleshooting.

Assist the team in repeatable tasks through operational automation.

Support the functionality of AWS, Azure environments.
