Software Test Engineer

At Brno's Thermo Fisher Scientific, we develop and manufacture innovative electron microscopes and spectrometers. These tools participate in the research of the ZIKA virus, HIV, and help enable the shrinking of mobile phones. Our work contributes to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. How will you make an impact?

Working within a fun, supportive, and driven team, you’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining the content of our internal application, Final Test, and related processes. This role involves daily collaboration with the operations and application development teams, and may include direct participation in projects related to the application. The engineer understands the importance of application and product quality and achieves success through commitment, enthusiasm, collaboration, technical expertise, and by working with a network of experts within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain internal application content based on engineering, manufacturing, and cross-departmental requirements

Collaborate closely with the development team to successfully implement and improve application features

Provide insightful feedback and make strategic suggestions to improve application performance

Improve processes across various departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Offer support to a distributed team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Provide technical support to ensure seamless application usage across the company

Requirements:

University degree or equivalent experience in a technical field

Proven knowledge of HTML and JavaScript

Knowledge of GitHub or SQL is an advantage

Proficiency in Microsoft products

English language skills at a communicative level

An active, careful approach to work with attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Understanding of the Czech language
