What you will do:

Performs project management for a variety of different programs, including schedule and spend forecast creation and maintenancePerforms project engineering and creates project proposalsLeads all aspects of the projects including design drafting, survey, fabrication, right of ways, permits, etc.Performs and/or reviews engineering calculations, analysis, research and designPerforms gas network modeling using Synergi softwareParticipates in the Engineering technical training s and is willing to present/teach on occasionWill participated in the Engineering On-call program, taking on-call shifts on occasionSupports standard practice development and maintenanceExercise independence in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard or well-defined engineering techniques, procedures and criteriaUses independent judgement in prioritizing and making moderately complex adaptations and modificationsAchieving assignment objectives that require investigation of a limited number of variables

Who you are:

You have:

3+ years of developmental experience in a professional engineering position along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering programCompetency in applying engineering principles, fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectivesA valid drivers license and acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire

You can:

Show knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentalsUnderstand and apply knowledge of configuration management in addition to performing engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. MATLAB, Excel, etc.)Think analytically to solve sophisticated problems while also being able to interpret codes, regulations and practices

You are:

An excellent written and verbal communicator (including technical writing) with strong decision making skillsSkilled in planning, organization and project management with the ability to develop and exercise leadership skillsAble to work independently but also within a team environment while being able to process information quickly and effectively to manage multiple tasks

The following are considered assets:

Knowledge of natural system design, piping network analysis software modelling, government regulations relating to natural gas, and project management principlesPMP (Project Management Professional) certificatePE (Professional Engineer) certificateProject management experienceSignificant familiarity and understanding of related industry codes and regulations, including 49 CFR part 192, ASME 31.8 and other applicable pipe, valves, fittings and materials codes

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
