POSITION SUMMARY
A candidate working in Structures Domain at Bell performs Product Design / Structural Analysis, flight test data assessment, Analytical tools development, and comprehensive analysis of helicopter systems. Candidate shall have knowledge and understanding of structural stability and strength calculations. The work may involve Analysis of static fatigue response of helicopter structures using CAE computer codes. Develop modeling and simulation techniques. Evaluate the effects of configuration changes, developing design concepts, performance calculations, structural analysis, Fatigue evaluations using commercial / In-house FE codes for product support. The engineer is expected to come-up with recommendations for improvements on the assigned work in a time-bound manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· The successful candidate will demonstrate basic understanding of the Interpretation of Mechanical drawings and Solid Models in CAD package, Common fabrication and assembly processes and Aircraft structures design
· Candidate must be able to perform detailed analysis of various configurations to identify key design drivers which influence the system.
· Candidate will be required to interface weekly with an analysis team in Ft. Worth, Texas, USA for performing systematic investigations using various analytical tools. Investigations will include detailed analysis of existing configurations and comparison with flight test data, as well as supporting the design of advanced systems. Candidate will be required to fully document research investigations and provide summary progress reports.

Preferred Experience
v Consistent Good Academic credentials
v Course work in Finite Element Analysis, Flight Mechanics/ helicopter Theory, academic experience with Structural Analysis and aerodynamics required.
v Strong fundamentals in Strength of materials and Finite Element Analysis, Background in material nonlinearities, simulation methods, computational techniques, and failure criteria.
v Exposure to CAD CAE tools, MATLAB, MSC-Nastran, Hypermesh, data handling tools like Python will be added advantage
v Strong analytical and simulation skills required. Self-motivation, follow-through, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment and with other departments are necessary.
v Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
v Background on fixed wing or rotorcraft is required
