**EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity for a **Software Test Engineer** in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our office in **Germantown, MD** . **Responsibilities:** + Formulate test plans, build out test cases, execute manual tests, and write and execute automated tests. + Utilize modern test automation frameworks and tools. + Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline. + Provide feedback on user experience and other non-technical aspects of the product. + Work with a small, tightly-knit team of experienced test engineers. **Basic Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field. + 2+ years of experience in both manual and automated software testing. + Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Proficiency in Linux, Windows, Mac, and mobile operating systems. + Solid experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, etc. + Experience with performance and backend testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, and Postman. + API testing experience. + Experience with SQL. + Understanding of modern automation frameworks. + Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes. + Experience with AI and machine learning testing tools. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Experience working with both local and remote teams. + Experience with broadcast, streaming, or on-demand media is a huge plus.
