TITLE: Engineer III, Software
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
DUTIES: • Design, maintain and improve quality, performance, scalability and availability of 24X7 production Platform for Science and SampleManager (Software as a Service) environments in the cloud.
• Develop, document and implement best practices for security and disaster recovery.
• Proactively monitor services and respond to and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain processes, tools, and documentation in support of the customer environments.
• Identify opportunities to implement automation and carry through on implementation.
• Plan and perform scheduled maintenance and product upgrades.
• Deploy new versions of Digital Science software to customer systems.
• Author and contribute to Infrastructure Documentation and Knowledgebase.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective quality processes and procedures.
• Provide training and support to technical operations teams, ensuring they understand and follow GxP regulations, QMS processes, and AWS infrastructure best practices.
• Lead or assist in the validation of computerized systems, including AWS infrastructure, ensuring they meet GxP requirements and are appropriately qualified and validated.
Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.
REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study. MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 3 years of IT Systems Engineering, or related experience.

• GxP regulations, including GMP, GLP, and GCP, and their application to technical operations;
• Quality Management Systems (QMS), including process development, implementation, and maintenance;
• Computerized systems validation processes and requirements;
• AWS cloudwatch/cloudtrail;
• Kubernetes (AWS EKS);
• Linux;
• Terraform;
• Helm;
• Containers;
• Cloud-providers AWS;
• Jenkins (or other pipeline tool); and
• Rancher (to manage the Kubernetes clusters).
