Summary of position:

We are seeking an Engineer III. The Operations Engineer/Engineer III supports operational excellence with project planning and execution. The Operations Engineer/Engineer III uses their IMCORP technical knowledge and customer relationship skills to support internal IMCORP functions/stakeholders in Operations, Sales and Engineering, as well as external assistance with clients. This position is located remote.

The position is Remote/Home based. Work is typically between 8 am and 5 pm on weekdays. Work schedule may be longer than 8 hours per day due to project and operational demands. Occasional work during early mornings, evenings and weekends on an unpredictable basis may be required to meet project demands.

Responsibilities:

Provide internal technical support to Operations and Sales Provide external technical support to clients and prospective clients Support Client Success Teams and Key Performance Indicator Improvements Support new project startups to provide technical and process disciplines Use science-based knowledge in IMCORP technology/services and sales process insight Provide technical support to pre-project preparation, including technical review, document review, and feedback to client Deliver training and coaching for new field associates on process, mitigation best practice, and safety Respond to technical inquiries from customers Provide technical support to IMCORP Engineering Services Communicate to Engineering ideas for development and improvement Investigate field events and determine root causes of technical performance Provide Engineering Tech services on back-up basis, up to 20% Develop technical documents such as application notes and technical bulletins Conduct Accessory Performance Consultations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field Certification as IMCORP Senior Field Engineer or Senior Field Supervisor Availability for travel of up to 20% of time throughout North American continent Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record and the continuing ability to meet Department of Transportation requirements for drivers of commercial vehicles In-depth knowledge of principles and practical applications of IMCORP technology/services Intermediate-level skills in diverse business computer applications, including presentation, word processing, social media, database, spreadsheet and communications applications Customer needs assessment skills Ability to professionally communicate with diverse clients with technical backgrounds in verbal and written forms Personal presentation as a business professional Ability to respond effectively to customer concerns, questions and objections Real-time decision-making and response skills Problem-solving and data-based analysis skills Presentation skills Ability to promote enthusiasm for IMCORP services Team leadership and influence skills Training skills Collaboration skills Personal and team organizational skills Ability to continuously learn about technical, sales and customer-specific topics Rigorous commitment to comprehensive safety assurance Discipline in compliance with IMCORP policies, procedures, scripts and plans Detail orientation and commitment to data integrity Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction

Safety and Security Requirements:

Test and ensure reliable operation of systems in medium and high voltage electrical settings. Operate heavy equipment Design, develop and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods in high-risk electrical settings Provide technical support to field organization regarding field diagnosis, repair and replenishment of medium- and high-voltage instrumentation Work with hardware and software engineering to establish testing and verification procedures for medium- and high-voltage instrumentation Assess, test and manage manufacturing processes for medium and high-voltage instrumentation equipment

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, arms and feet to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must talk and hear, using voice and electronic devices such as telephones and walkie-talkies. The employee must be able to hear all types of sounds, including voices, beepers, sirens and alarms at low, medium and high loudness levels. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, intermediate vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee must be able to use focused vision for extended periods.

The employee is sometimes required to: stand for extended periods of up to 10 to12 hours per day; go up and down a four-step staircase up to 30 times per day; walk on uneven and sloped surfaces; lift and carry for a distance of up to 30 feet items weighing as much 50 pounds as many as 15 times per day; and pull up to 50 pounds up to 15 times per day.

The noise level in the work environment is low to high. There may be vibration and ambient sound at low to high levels.

Travel:

Varies by customer and/or location and can include frequent Monday through Friday overnight travel throughout one or more states. Extended work weeks and additional hours are probable during peak work periods or for specific jobs. Must maintain consistent attendance record and be available for work Monday through Friday and sometimes weekends as needed.
