We have an exciting opportunity located in Poway, CA for a Project Engineer to join the MQ-9B Japan Programs Engineering team to work closely with the lead engineer and program management team(s) to support customer pursuits, identify requirements, develop program plans, support proposal activity, program execution, and sustainment activities for MQ-9B SeaGuardian UAS.

With consultative direction, this position is responsible for determining technical objectives as a key member of the team and coordinates technical aspects from program inception to product delivery and sustainment. The position requires interface with international customer(s), foreign vendors, and internal program stakeholders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Formulates plans and guides the development and implementation of engineering solution(s) including deployment, resource requirements, testing, documentation, integration and compliance and safety.Advises or directs the activities of professional staff for assigned project(s)/program(s) to achieve technical objectives.Must be able to liaison with functional groups to meet program objectives while monitoring budget and schedule constraints.Serves as a key team member and may represent the organization, project, or program as a technical contact for the engineering team.Coordinate with engineering teams as trusted technical liaison, leading teams of communications, ground systems, and sensor payload SMEs to develop and resolve integration solutions.Determines annual and multi-year technical objectives for designated engineering systems or project(s)/program(s).Participate in internal and external technical program reviews.Plan for future applications of solutions based on IRAD activity and new developments in engineering technology.Travel up to 25% is required to support meetings which will occur both in the US and OCONUS.Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned.Ensures compliance, reporting, and safety standards are maintained.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
