We are a team of fifteen Logistics Specialists, Engineers, and Project Managers focused on creating, optimizing the full flow of parts through the end-to-end supply chain, and supporting the processes of transporting material throughout the facility in an efficient manner and with a Continuous Improvement mindset. Job description:

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in Hagerstown’s Perform to Transform journey, focusing on both tactical execution and strategic optimization of goods receiving processes and warehousing solutions. By leveraging data analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will improve the existing goods receiving processes and design innovative warehouse solutions that ensure efficient handling, accurate tracking, and minimal delays by implementing best practices that maximize speed and meet demands of production schedule while maintaining safety standards.  You will lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and warehousing functions, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency by developing and executing plans to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall operation performance. By combining hands-on process enhancements with forward-thinking strategies, you will help shape a logistics operation that supports Volvo Group’s growth and sustainability.

Required knowledge/experience A BSc or MSc in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain related field and 2 years of experience Or 5+ years of relative experience required preferably in Logistics in an industrial or manufacturing environment in automotive or related industry. Valid work permit for the applied country if not a citizen. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen). Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost reduction. Proven experience with process optimization and warehouse management systems (WMS). You have a passion for developing people, operations and products and are a communicative team player that values the full diversity of the team. Ability and flexible to travel both domestically and internationally. Preferred knowledge/experience Proficient in MS Office, Power BI, and AutoCAD. Proficient in logistics software and tools for data analysis and inventory management. Location:

For this position, the base salary range is set at $81,430 - $100,590 and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
