Northrop Grumman Missions Systems is seeking experienced RF engineers in the following areas: Antennas, Electromagnetics, Computational Electromagnetics, RF/Microwave design, Digital beam-forming, Hardware/Subsystem Integration and Test, and Antenna Control Design.
The qualified candidate will work with a diverse and talented team of engineers developing innovative and cost-effective systems that support a broad range of products and business areas across the lifecycle of a program. Applicants should possess the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
What you'll get to do:
Responsibilities may include development of RF architectures, requirements generation/flow down; subsystem analysis including hardware from RF to digits, performance modeling, support for performance testing, requirements verification, and more. Work is performed without appreciable direction and exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments.
Candidates would have the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
In addition, this candidate should have demonstrated technical ability/leadership and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Integrated Receiver Exciter Assemblies (IREX)Highly integrated subsystems including receiver exciter hardwareReflectors, Reflect Arrays, Digital Beam FormingRF Performance AnalysisComputational Electromagnetics, StatisticsSubsystem Control DesignRF Measurements and Data ReductionIntegration and test of RF assembliesSubsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation, flow-down, and configurationComfortable creating test support applications and tools using MATLAB, python, etc.Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, GitActive Interim Secret or higher clearance.Basic Qualification for Engineer:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of experience in the areas described in the job description above. 0 years of experience with a Masters Degree. An additional 4 years of experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.U.S. Citizenship is required.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance is requiredExperience using MATLAB and developing test scriptsDemonstrate problem solving skills to a variety of RF/Microwave design and test related problems of increasing scope and complexity as assignedProven knowledge of electrical engineering design software and equipmentExperience troubleshooting RF hardware/subsystemsProductive in a team working environmentBasic Qualifications for Principal Engineer:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 5 years of experience in the areas described in the job description above. 3 years of experience with a Masters Degree. A current Active DoD Secret Clearance.Experience designing RF hardware/subsystemsExperience with RF lab test equipment: signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW integration problemsExperience with using or developing software to control hardware (such as MATE)Experience with test scripting, data analysis, and/or signal processingExperience mentoring other design and/or RF test engineersSalary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00Salary Range 2: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
