Engineer II, Process Technology Location: Jizan, Saudi Arabia
Department: Process Technology and Business Improvement
Reports to: Superintendent, Process Technology
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Engineer II, Process Technology to provide technical and operational support within the process and production environment. The role involves developing and implementing process solutions to enhance operational efficiency in the medium to long term.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor operations and report on production and process performance. Ensure plant processes operate within prescribed parameters. Maintain and improve quality performance to meet product and customer specifications. Conduct plant health and risk assessments, including HAZOP studies. Investigate quality non-conformance and implement corrective actions. Champion Process Safety and compliance with safety standards. Assist production and engineering teams with technical fault finding and root cause analysis. Develop and implement solutions to improve operational performance. Design and maintain process and operating models. Conduct production reconciliation and metallurgical accounting. Evaluate and implement capital projects for process optimization. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to best practices. Develop and maintain operational reports and procedures. Conduct feasibility studies for process improvements. Align operational processes with ISO standards and operational excellence initiatives. Be available for standby duty and shift work as required. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering. Experience: 5-10 years in a heavy industry environment (chemical, minerals processing, or pyrometallurgy operations). Technical Skills: Experience in chemical, mineral processing, or pyrometallurgical operations. Knowledge of process safety, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments. Understanding of water treatment processes and ISO standards. Strong experience in technical fault finding, RCA techniques, and process engineering design. Ability to work with a diverse team and train others in technical and operational aspects. Highly computer literate, with expertise in Microsoft Office. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Competencies Required: Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to function effectively in a multicultural environment. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure. Leadership and supervisory skills to drive team performance.
