ABOUT THE ROLE

 

This role is a Permanent 40hpw (9-day fortnight) working arrangement, DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

You will have a broad view of the business from Pit to Port, be responsible for the Production Physicals Forecasting and Monthly Inventory Reconciliation processes, while providing key routine Refinery process governance.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

 

Developing the yearly production budget Delivering monthly production & consumption reporting, including inventory reconciliations Providing commentary on performance of process metrics against plan Providing relief to the Process Modelling Engineer Performing complex technical deep dives to inform operating strategy. Validation of key metrics and maintaining data validity

 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

 

Strong technical report writing and data analysis, especially in MS Excel Ability to convey technical specifics to non-technical audiences Proven experience in mineral processing or alumina refining operations Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in technical processes

 

 

Qualifications for this position are:

 

Relevant Tertiary education such as Chemical or Process Engineering is desirable but not essential. Those without relevant tertiary education should have considerable alumina refining experience.
