We are looking for you to join our team as a Quality Engineer based out of Cincinnati, OH.
What you will get to do:
Collaborates with functional organizations including purchasing, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and program management to ensure quality standards are in place.Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment.Conducts quality assurance tests, and performs statistical analysis to assess affordability and cost of poor qualityAudits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.May specialize in the areas of design and development, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.Basic Qualifications for a Quality Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (OR a Master's degree and 1 or more years of relevant experience)Ability to obtain Top Secret ClearanceUnited States Citizenship requiredExperience coordinating customer communications across multiple programsExperience working in cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issuesTrained and experienced in performing Root Cause Corrective ActionExperience in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsPreferred Qualifications for a Quality Engineer:
Experience with AS9100/IS09001 Quality Management systemsExperience with standard Visual and Mechanical Inspection techniques and toolsHave experience in quality planningExperience with SAP in a manufacturing environmentExperience in electrical, electronic and electromechanical systemsExperience working with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specificationsExperience with MIL-SPECs and DoD contractsExperience planning and managing projectsExperience developing, collecting, and analyzing metricsSalary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
