Location/Division Specific Information:This position is based onsite at our Barton, South Australia site. This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid work environment. The role plays an integral part in the production of microbiological media at our site. Some weekend work will be required. This is a full-time, parental leave cover contract until the end of April 2026.
What You'll Do:Involved in day-to-day routine QC laboratory work, including testing of samples of microbiological media and diagnostic products using prescribed methods.Testing of products includes but is not limited to pH, sterility, performance, and physical attributes.Facilitate Raw Material testing/release.Initiate non-conformance procedures and investigate internal and customer complaints.Participate in environmental monitoring of clean rooms and facilities.Provide technical support to operations if required.Keys to Success:Education:
Bachelor of Science (Microbiology or closely related degree), or equivalent experience, will be considered.Experience:Minimum of 1 year industry work experienceValidated experience of working in a microbiology laboratoryStrong background in technical proficiency and laboratory analysisKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Knowledge of quality systems, preferably experience in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory or similarExperience working collaboratively within a team environment and unsupervised if requiredRight first-time demeanor with strong customer focusStrong communication skills - both written and verbal - and an individual who excels at finding solutionsAbility to work in a highly dynamic, frequently changing environment with a wide variety of people and perspectives.Physical Requirements / Work Environment:Laboratory work is undertaken in a PC2 laboratory environment and will involve the wearing of appropriate PPEBenefits:Join our team and take advantage of these phenomenal benefits!
