Engineer Senior
Location: Ideal candidates will live or be willing to relocate to within 50 miles of our Pulse Point location at 2505 N. Highway 360, Suite 300, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Engineer Senior will conduct the following tests - functional, system, integration, smoke, regression, usability testing, of the following categories of applications - GUI, API, Database and ETL applications.
How you will make an impact:
Conduct load testing and monitoring the performance of APIs.
Review business requirements and document test cases.
Write unit tests and load testing scripts for validating the behavior of various application components.
Author SQL queries to validate databases and ETL feeds.
Document testing results and review them with software engineering team and product owners.
Analyze defects and data patterns to find opportunities for future improvement.

Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s).
Additional Requirements:
Five (5) years of experience must include:
Five (5) years of experience with functional, usability and regression testing browser-based UI applications and desktop applications.
Five (5) years of experience authoring test scripts to automate testing via Selenium WebDriver.
Five (5) years of experience running automated acceptance tests using Cucumber & Java.
Five (5) years of experience testing REST APIs.
Five (5) years of experience using the OpenAPI specification.
Five (5) years of experience using JSON, gRPC, and SOAP protocols.
Five (5) years of experience using API testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman, Insomnia).
Five (5) years of experience with Testing Databases - SQL and NoSQL database systems.
Five (5) years of experience using SQL.
Five (5) years of experience with structural database testing using stored procedures and triggers.
Five (5) years of experience using simple data types and complex data types including XML, JSON, BLOB, and CLOB.
Three (3) years of experience running load and performance tests using tools including HP LoadRunner and JMeter.
Three (3) years of experience authoring load and performance test scripts using mocked data and Java.
Two (2) years of experience testing ETL and Data warehousing applications.
Two (2) years of experience using schema types - Star, Galaxy and Snowflake.
Two (2) years of experience using ETL tools - Informatica, AWS Glue, Apache Spark and Apache NiFi.
Two (2) years of experience using ETL file formats - Apache Avro, Apache Parquet, Apache Arrow.
Two (2) years of experience with automated testing strategies and pipelines.
