Job Description

As an Engineer / Senior Engineer, Global Facilities - Electrical FAC at Micron, you will have the opportunity to craft the future of memory and storage solutions. In this role, you will provide outstanding engineering services and support for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems within our global semiconductor manufacturing sites and large-scale U.S. Greenfield FAB construction projects. You will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure flawless execution, innovation, and sustainability in all phases of design and construction.

Provide Design and Construction Project Support, Leadership, and ExpertiseLead the design and construction project teams for U.S. Greenfield FAB projectsCoordinate planning, execution, and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standardsCollaborate with global, regional, and site teams, including Facilities, Construction, Procurement, Operations, IT, and moreDevelop and implement electrical system design concepts for U.S. projectsEstablish outstanding engineering and construction practices focusing on innovation and sustainabilityCoordinate electrical system reviews and ensure outstanding design and construction executionDevelop and review design and construction standards and specificationsFoster effective communication with collaborators to meet project objectivesPerform timely design package reviews and provide detailed feedbackSupport cost and schedule estimates and provide justification for approvalsSupervise and coordinate consultant resourcesEnsure compliance with all applicable standards, codes, and regulationsReview capacity planning databases and validate assumptionsLead capacity and scenario planning across the network

Provide Technical Support, Leadership, and ExpertiseProvide consultation and support as the subject matter expert in the technical fieldWork together with internal collaborators and team membersDevelop, review, and maintain global standards, specifications, and best-known methods (BKMs)Ensure standardization and alignment across Micron sitesAnalyze system designs for performance improvements and cost savingsSupport problem analysis with standard tools and methodologiesBenchmark engineering standard methodologies and BKMsStay up-to-date on industry trends and technological advances

Provide Global Initiatives Program Support, Leadership, and ExpertiseSupport global best-known methods (BKM) documents focusing on operations and maintenance reliabilityCollaborate on global programs and initiatives, defining objectives and implementation plansContribute to global sustainability programs supporting emissions, energy, water, and green infrastructureShare lessons learned and feedback to improve global standards and BKMs

Job Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering requiredMinimum 4 to 10+ years of experience in semiconductor and/or facilities-related industryTechnical expertise in semiconductor electrical systems including high, medium, and low voltage systemsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrentlyStrong organizational skills and service attitudeExcellent communication and team-working skillsSelf-motivated and familiar with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systemsAbility to travel internationally 15-25% of the time, up to 30% during critical project phases
