Engineer / Senior Engineer - Order Management

Job Summary

Accountable for Sales Coordination activities involving Pre-Order / Post-Order activities. Responsible for managing all aspects of Sales Order Management of Interco-Co customers, accounts, and sales region of Pressure Management, Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu. Own the process to fulfill an order from the time of receiving a customer purchase order, to the time that we ship complete scope to the customer.  Assist internal and external customers with activities related to order processing and fulfilment. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Receive and review customer purchase orders. Review Sales Order entered in the system is in accordance with PO and agreement with customer on technical / commercial terms and conditions. Book the Sales Order in Oracle.  Acknowledge the Order to Customer with Promised date. Initiate proactive communication with customer regarding the order status, resolve to get any missing information from customer, co-ordinate with internal departments to release the order for scheduling. Function as the primary contact and coordinator between the customer and factory to resolve any issues.  Monitor the progress of all sales orders and initiate ongoing, proactive communication with each customer. Accountable for providing proactive communication to customer at designated key stages of the order execution (Order Scheduling, Order assembly, Inspection notification, Inspection co-ordination, Shipment) Maintain accurate records of all activities related to orders from receipt of the PO to shipment of the products and documentation requested. Run daily backlog and manage hold codes to reduce finished goods in inventory. Ensure compliance with checkpoint procedures, all trade compliance procedures and applicable laws.

For This Role, You Will Need:

 

Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering with Customer Sales Order Management, Project Management, Order Detailing, Order Administration with total experience of 6 to 10 years High level of integrity & trust Good command on MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Good communications, negotiation, Interpersonal and people management skills. Good understanding on Commercial Terms and Conditions. Familiar with ISO9001 Management System, as well as the requirements of Corporate Safety Management and Occupational Health Management is preferred. Solid prioritizing and organizational skills along with being a self-starter.  Must be able to work well in a close team setting.   

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience with Oracle or any other ERP will be an added advantage.
