When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you’ll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do everyday.About the Role:This is for the Subject Matter Expert position who will report into the Domain Manager of HARMAN IC, SW Domains Engineering organization and will be responsible for developing and the delivering software, POCs for Automotive grade products.You will be responsible for hardware and software bring-up, feature enablement, and software configurations on Infotainment Systems. As part of an agile team, you will research and build the software on Infotainment devices with state-of-the-art technologies and features like Remote Device Projections, Wired & Wireless communication. Will be part of highly visible demos; and lead effort to bring the product and solutions to market. Your responsibilities include design, development/coding, build, debug, and modify software enhancements and new products development.
What You Will Do:Understand business requirements, associate them with agile entities (stories/tasks) for planning and executionDeep understanding of Embedded Systems especially 8-bit, 32-bit Microcontrollers.Strong skillset for Domains like BT, WiFi, Projection Mode Android Auto & CarplayDesign and develop, debug, and test scalable, maintainable, Portable, well mannered (CPU, memory, speed, power) automotive grade Software.What You Need:Masters/bachelor’s degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar disciplineShould have 7 to 9 years of overall experience.Create reusable and scalable C/C++/Java code on 8-bit, 32-bit Microcontrollers.Should have working experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, ADC.Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with teams across geographies.What is Nice to Have:Good Knowledge on Bluetooth, WiFi, Projection Mode specifications.Good Knowledge on Communication ProtocolsExperience in Vector Tools like CANoe and Configurations tools.Good understanding of Automotive Infotainment SW Components.Knowledge of Hardware Bring ups & handle them.Connectivity Technologies/Protocols expertise.Experience in executing, analyzing the Stress Tests, Performance TestsExperience in automation using scripting language (Python, Perl, or similar). is an added advantage.Experience in system performance optimization.Experience in left shift quality enabling.What We Offer :Flexible work environmentAccess to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN UniversityCompetitive wellness benefitsTuition ReimbursementAccess to HARMAN Campus Fitness Center and CafeteriaAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development
