Learn more at www.parker.com or @parkerhannifin Following safe and proper procedures and with minimal supervision is capable of performing required building and equipment electrical functions including diagnosing causes of malfunctions, installation, and maintenance of sophisticated systems, and general electrical maintenance work. Capable of diagnosing causes of malfunction, designing, installation, and maintenance of electronic controls and systems. + Following safe and proper procedures and with minimal supervision is capable of performing required building and electrical equipment and electronic functions including diagnosing causes of malfunctions, installation, and maintenance of sophisticated systems, and general electrical maintenance work. + Receives instructions from supervision verbally, through blueprints, or via handwritten sketches. + Performs installation, inspects, services, and repairs all types of electrical and electronic systems and equipment such as motors, drives, transformers, breakers, relays, air conditioners, heating units, interior/exterior lighting systems, clock system, public address systems, conduits, purifiers, punch presses, ovens, and programmable controllers. + Designs control systems, and installs, programs and diagnoses programmable controllers. + Operates welder, drill press, cutoff saw, band saw, and other maintenance machinery and tools. Also uses ammeter, oscilloscope, volt-ohm meter, printed circuit boards, and computers. + Completes reports, creates and updates electrical schematics as required. + May assist manufacturing engineers in problem solving involving material handling, methods improvements, machine and plant layouts, cost reduction, labor and material utilization. + May assist in the design, development and fabrication of machines and equipment. + Is responsible for monitoring building and equipment worked on for proper safety. Informs supervision of unsafe conditions. + Recommends, designs, and facilitates improvement methods to machines and equipment. + May be required to perform other duties within maintenance department. May be called upon to work late evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs. + Keeps work area clean, orderly, and free of obstruction. + Uses general office equipment including a personal computer with CAD software. + Is responsible for safety and quality of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies. Qualifications + EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: + Required: High school education with five or more years of industrial maintenance experience. Must complete courses in electronics or have previous experience in related work. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager. + Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial electronics plus five years electronics experience in an industrial maintenance setting. + SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: + Must provide own hand tools. This position requires the individual to handle and transport machine parts or equipment weighing up to approximately fifty pounds. Pushing or pulling objects may require additional exertion.
