Job Description
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. You will lead the company vehicle program and employee purchase programs, manage fixed asset accounting, and support monthly financial close activities. Additionally, you will prepare financial reports, identify and resolve accounting issues, and support budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Responsibilities
+ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
+ Lead the company vehicle program and employee purchase programs.
+ Handle fixed asset accounting, including monthly financial close, reconciliations, internal control maintenance, asset management, and capital reporting.
+ Process inter-company orders/invoices and reconcile inter-company balances.
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights on financial status and performance.
+ Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
+ Support budget preparation and financial planning processes.
+ Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures and complying with financial legal requirements.
+ Support tax accountants by exporting/compiling requested data and documentation.
+ Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month-end close activities for fixed assets, AP, and AR, including journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and reporting.
+ Respond to inquiries from management regarding expenses, budgets, etc.
+ Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to process enhancements for increased efficiency and accuracy.
+ Maintain customer and supplier master data.
+ Participate in financial audits, collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary information.
+ Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to financial analysis, process improvements, and planning.
+ Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
+ Review and create financial transactions that comply with IFRS while incorporating appropriate accounting controls.
Essential Skills
+ Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
+ 0-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with accounts payable.
+ General knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including GAAP.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and accounting systems.
+ Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
+ Sound time management skills.
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to show initiative and take responsibility.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
+ Willingness to learn and grow.
+ Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems, interpret data, and make sound decisions.

+ Customize and enhance reports to meet the needs and expectations of different audiences, and present and explain reports to management and clients.
+ Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improvement or areas of concern.
+ Provide recommendations and insights based on analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Work Environment
This role is based in a climate-controlled office environment with a hybrid work style. The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and safety shoes may be required.
