YOUR IMPACT

You will be an integral part of the CF&O Shared Services Tech Risk team, which collaborates with engineering teams across our supported divisions to help them understand methods to reduce and manage risk while enhancing system resilience. The primary responsibility of a Technology Risk Officer is to serve as a trusted advisor to the Business Unit (BU) Head regarding all aspects of risk, and to have a comprehensive understanding of the BU’s risk profile. The TRO will also act as a subject matter expert within their BU, comprehending the associated challenges and nuances. This role focuses on risk identification, dialogue, and remediation.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Your responsibilities will include Enterprise Risk Management, identifying risks, Monitoring, Control Incident Management, and Technology programs. You will collaborate with all pillars within Technology Risk to understand the identified risks and evaluate their potential impact. You will assist engineering teams in comprehending their risk portfolio and advise on effective ways to reduce risk. Additionally, you will participate in programs aimed at reducing risk and enhancing resiliency across the firm. This role offers an opportunity to develop both specialized and broad knowledge of the business and technologies throughout the firm while working with engineers at various levels within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Be accountable for driving risk reduction activities, through teamwork, coordination and escalation of newly discovered and existing issuesPartner with Tech Risk, risk program owners and other TROs in a collaborative manner to help manage risk in a consistent and transparent manner and provide challenge within and across BUs where requiredConduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.Identify, evaluate, and manage technology related risks that could impact the firm’s ability to operate effectively during disruptions.Coordinate with impacted teams to implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce the likelihood and impact of technology failures or cyber incidents.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures, adjusting strategies as needed.Work closely with senior management, IT, and business units to integrate technology resilience into the broader enterprise risk management framework.Provide expert advice and guidance on technology resilience best practices to stakeholders across the firm.Engage with external vendors and service providers to ensure that third-party risks are effectively managed.Ensure that the firms technology resilience practices comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.Keep risk at the forefront when reviewing metrics / programs etc. and challenge where appropriate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree5+ years of work experiencePrior experience in Enterprise Risk ManagementStrong documentation, analytical, presentational and communication skills with prior experience in communicating with senior managementAbility to comfortably and effectively interact with internal risk experts, business units and various stakeholders outside of the division, including senior managementStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrentlyStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Industry certifications such as CISA, CEH and/or CISSP desired but not essentialExperience with any data analysis/visualization tool such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, R, SQL, etc.Experience addressing regulatory requirementsExperience with applying industry best practices for resiliency programs
