Engineering CO-OP: Mechanical – Electrical

We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need.  We are hiring Engineering CO-OP:  Mechanical – Industrial - Electrical for rotations/semesters at with NDX!

The regular hours for this position are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Th is a remote position with extensive travel on a weekly basis to visit our labs throughout the Unites States. 

Job Description:  

Mechanical and Electrical (electronics, robotics, software emphasis) engineering responsibilities will include design, build, install and deployment of new manufacturing processes and engineering projects focused on automation. The Engineering Co-Op will provide engineering support to the Process Improvement Team and Dental Lab Technicians while learning through practical applications of engineering principles. Use Standard Operating Procedures, established engineering processes and basic calculations to perform assignments and projects, including research, testing, design, development and implementation. Develop solutions to problems that require innovation for the organization such as Safety, Quality, and Delivery. Interacts with Lab Leadership, other Process Improvement Team members, and lab technicians in order to complete projects and assignments The Undergraduate will gain experience to various types of equipment including 3D printers, robotics and other automation engineering manufacturing. Responsibilities will continually increase with training and follow-on Co-Ops are highly encouraged based on performance and attitude. Co-Op rotations will be based out of NDX Albensi in Irwin, PA

Required Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in an engineering degree program at an accredited US college or university with a concentration preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or have a high interest in robotics, software and machine learning. Satisfactory completion of freshman year with a minimum GPA of 3.2. Ability to complete the cooperative education program in accordance with their College's or University's guidelines Candidates must have drive, initiative and a desire to work in a manufacturing setting and a passion for learning new material. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, computer skills including Solid Works, coding experience, strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship High School or GED required. Must have valid transportation including a driver’s license to travel to and from the co-op site.
